Stylized Life Drawings

During the time I spent studying anatomy and figure drawing, I did a few with a felt-tip pen while leaning heavily into stylization. These drawings were based on models in front of me, and it was really fun to experiment with bringing out their personality in sketches that took 15 minutes or less.

All of the drawings I did of this model--her hair was beautiful and I felt that her features lent well to some fun facial expressions.

Two other models, I ended up playing a bit with some colored pencil over it when I had a few extra minutes with the model in that particular pose.

Finally, the last model I studied. I loved that her clothes were so flowing, it gave me the opportunity to play with heavily simplifying the drapery, almost a caricature of the drapery itself.
